Hello and Goodbye!

Just remember, "It is better to be obedient than to sacrifice."  Elder Weaver just installed a basket on his bicycle, per mission rules.  It only took him 6 months, but better late than never!
Rewarded for his obedience with a 1 pound Strike Burger!  Note the surprised look on Sister Struempler's face as he had just finished a chili-hot dog!

About every 6 week we have transfers and this cycle we lost three missionaries in Iwakuni, but we gained 4!
Elder Lotti and Sister Bready died, and Sister Askew went to Hiroshima.  I think Elder Lotti was sent home because he couldn't learn the Iwakuni "gang" sign.

It was sad that we lost not only our District Leader, but also our District "Relief Society President" (honorary calling) as we have 7 sisters in our District.

Saying goodbye at the train station.  We will see Sister Askew (left) again as we inspect her apartment next week.

Some missionaries are harder to say goodbye to than others.  I will miss Elder Lotti but look forward to seeing him when we get back home, as he lives in Tucson.

The Brotherhood of the Traveling Shoes!

And, the new Iwakuni "gang" sisters have arrived!
Sister Vogelsberg (not new), Sister Lofthouse, Sister Goethe (bean) and Sister Glather (bean).
