Transfer Time Again

Just as sure as the swallows return to Capistrano, transfers come about with great regularity, every six weeks.  Most missionaries will stay in an area about 3 transfer cycles or about 18 weeks.  We didn't lose anyone this last transfer, so we knew someone would go, and we had our own predictions.  Typically, those predictions are about 20% accurate.  So this time we had a surprise in that we lost Elder Weaver to Mihara (east of Hiroshima), and we lost both of our "beans" to the south end of Kyushu Island, Sister Goettig and Sister Glather.  They reduced the 4 Sister apartment in Iwakuni to just Sister Vogelsberg and Sister Lofthouse.  We were a bit sad to see the missionaries leave, but we know that great things are in store for them in their new areas.

Every now and then you see something that reminds you that we are serving on a Marine base.

A big shout out to the Young Men of the Branch who came by our home and did some much needed removal of weeks.

The following are just a mix of pictures of missionaries, investigators, and our mission president and his wife, President and Sister Egan.
