Well not exactly, but on Thursday we had a clear day here (sort of) so we decided it would be a good time to take a P-Day and go up to Miyajima and this time go to the top (almost) of the mountain. We went to the Mt. Misen Primeval Forest which has been designated by the Japanese government as a Natural Treasure. It covers about 14% of Miyajima Island.
Miyajima is considered one of three most scenic spots of Japan. You get there by ferry boat and the sights there are truly breath-taking. There is everything from a simple coy pond in a garden to the massive tori (gates).
I just love the plastic food that restaurants have out front to advertise their menu. The more realistic the food looks, the better quality the restaurant.
On Friday we had our join Zone Conference with the Yamaguchi Zone and the Hiroshima Zone, which was held in Hiroshima. It is always great to be around the other missionaries and to receive guidance from the mission president and his wife, President and Sister Egan.
Here are two of our favorites, Elders Namoa and Percell.
