Hanabe Season

Working with the Sisters and Elders is so much fun.  One of their favorite things is to give a member a "heart attack"!
I even got an "atta boy"!  I was selected as Volunteer of the Quarter for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
I was nice to be appreciated.
By the way, who knew there were so many different types of Spam?
We had another Branch campout at Yasaka Dam. We stayed for the food and the campfire, but NOT THE NIGHT!  It was good fun.

Tempura lunch with the Elders and Sisters is always good fun.
Sisters Ori, Rosen, Lofthouse and Vogelsburg (above)
Elders Namoa and Hepworth (below)
On July 6th (Japan date) Elder Broderick Dover returned with honor after serving for two years in the Honduras San Pedro Sula East Mission!

This last Saturday evening there was a fireworks show at the Iwakuni harbor.  Very nice hour-long display of "hanabe" or "fire flowers".  As usual there were many there in traditional yukata or a casual summer kimono, and as always, good food!

Geri got this the other day.  May be a bit difficult for her to serve.
